Primate Safari Tour for 3 Days

In three days, explore the Rwanda primate. From the enthralling mountain gorillas to Rwanda’s Golden Monkeys. Before seeing Rwanda’s endangered mountain gorillas, the safari takes you on a Genocide tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site.

Arrival in Kigali on Day 1
Meet and welcome your tour driver guide at Kigali International Airport after your arrival and get your safari briefings. Later, go to Musanze in the north, which is home to the famed and endangered Mountain Gorillas. Optional city trip of Kigali, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, if time allows. Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge is where you’ll spend the night.

Trekking with gorillas on Day 2
Report to the park headquarters after your morning wake-up call and breakfast for gorilla trekking briefings by Volcanoes National Park guides. Begin your trip once you have been allocated to a certain gorilla group, which will vary in duration depending on the gorilla group you have been allocated to. You’ll spend an hour with them before retracing your ways down the volcano’s slopes. After lunch at the resort, travel to the Burera-Ruhondo twin lakes in the afternoon. Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge is where you’ll spend the night.

Trekking with golden monkeys on Day 3
After breakfast, go to park headquarters for instructions on tracking the rare golden monkeys, a gorgeous and peculiar bamboo-associated primate of the blue monkey family that is confined to the Albertine Rift Valley. After tracking, eat lunch at the resort before returning to Kigali in the afternoon to catch your nighttime flight. Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge is where you’ll spend the night.

3 Days Gorilla Safari in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
This three-day gorilla safari introduces you to the Congo’s mountain gorillas in the virunga national park, providing you with the ultimate wildlife experience. The journey begins and concludes in Kigali, Rwanda. The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the least frequented gorilla tourist area, so a safari there is certain to be exciting.

Day 1: Kigali to Bukima, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Our driving guide will pick you up from your lodging in the morning and take you via Kigali to Bukima in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This will take you around 4 hours to get to Goma, where you will have a lunch break. Later, in the evening, you will travel to Bukima for supper and an overnight stay at Bukima lodge/Mikeno lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the national park headquarters for a briefing by park rangers. The regulations for trekking will be explained here in order to guarantee a calm and joyful trip. Then you’ll embark on a trip into the bush in search of the designated gorilla family. After an hour of interaction with the gorillas, you will return to your starting place. Only cameras without flash are permitted to take images. Bukima Lodge/Mikeno Lodge for dinner and stay.
